Maybe I'll make one when I have some free time. Here's a quick tutorial: In Photoshop I make a layer and fill it with a color. Then I use the Bevel & Emboss effect on it(in the Layer Style Options) and with the eraser tool I make the panels and holes on the hull of the ship. I make other layers on top and play around with Bevel & Emboss options to give it more detail. I use the Pencil tool and some times the Brush tool draw everything.

thanks for the tips :)

So I assume you did unwarp the UV map first?

then how do you translate the PS output into 3D software?
you just apply the same PS output to the texture and the bump altogehter, or did you made separated PS output to texture, bump or even normal?

thanks again for the inspiration you bring to us.

Yeah you unwrap the uv's. Make the textures in Photoshop and then I export Targa files for Diffuse, Spec, Normal, Lights and set them up to the material in 3ds max.
